More than 40 OPM artists will perform in the fundraising concert “Kaya Natin To” on Aug. 30 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) of Resorts World Manila.
All of them have been part of RWM musical presentations in the past. And since the concert will benefit the Children of Resorts World Manila (COR) Foundation, they thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give back to people who’ve supported their careers.
“Kaya Natin To,” with concept, direction and script by Freddie Santos, will have the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Rodel Colmenar providing the music.
Among the performers are Cris Villonco, Pinky Marquez, Juan Miguel Salvador, Tanya Manalang, Shiela Valderrama, Bo Cerrudo, Kakai Bautista, PRIMO, Singing Sensations, Bituin Escalante, Sweet Plantado, Michael Williams, Mitoy Yonting, Arthur Manuntag, Dulce, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Isabeli Araneta-Elizalde, Christian Bautista, Gian Magdangal, and Noel Cabangon.
Featured in the concert is Noel’s song “Kaya Natin To” which emphasizes RWM’s theme “Time To Rise.” The track is downloadable via iTunes and may be streamed via Spotify. Proceeds from the downloads will also be donated to COR Foundation.
According to Noel, “May pagka-universal ’yung kanta. Difficulties happen to most people and it’s the same thing we have to say to them: We have to move on, rise above the situation, and learn from the experience.”

Search for Calendar Girls
Girl’s apparel brand Jeanette Hankinson launched its search for Calendar Girls 2018 recently.
Open to girls ages 4-12, winners of the annual search will be featured in the brand’s calendar. Contest elimination will be held on Sept. 23 at iCon Hotel Timog. Coronation night is on Oct. 7 at Il Centro Activity Center, Sta. Lucia Mall. Those interested to join may visit www.fb.com/jeanettehankinson.
The brand started in 2014. It currently has branches in six department stores. Owner of the company is Emmanuel Lagman while CEO is Amalia Tibre.
