JICA Mega Manila Subway Phase 1| Length: 25 km| 13 Stations

What will happen then after President Duterte's term? Hopefully, there will be no corruption allegations that the next/future administration can use to scrap the project.

As long as the contracts have been signed and construction started with a partial opening, it should be okay. Besides, I'm sure future President Robredo will ensure that the project will continue on...

An evening of grace & glamour

Nothing refreshes the spirit more than being able to celebrate important milestones with your loved ones. I turned 81 this year, but I have never felt more energized and ready to face future endeavors, thanks to the many people who I have been blessed to call family and friends.

At my recent Grace Kelly-inspired celebration held at the Grand Ballroom of The Bellevue Manila, I was touched to see my friends from the diplomatic corps and business and social circles, both old and new. I was reminded of how blessed I am to be able to live a long life, and to age gracefully alongside my loving wife Tere.

To everyone who has contributed to the festivities’ success — thank you, thank you! Wishing happiness and good health for everyone, and I look forward to celebrating with all of you again next year!

Greetings

Happy birthday to our celebrators today, National Youth Commission chairperson Aiza Seguerra, Toti Fernandez and Beth Mendoza.

Advance birthday greetings to Chiquita Trapaga, Sept. 18; Gerard Ramos, Sea Wind general manager Joebert Cocjin and Peping Cojuangco, Sept. 19; Maridol Mabanta, Sept. 20; Marilou  Guingona and Marc Aguado, Sept. 21; Odi Rufino, Maripaz Garcia and socialite Nene Leonor, Sept. 22; Liza Bengzon and Wopsy Zamora, Sept. 23.

So, how was your week?
