For this month, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) features exciting independent films through Cine Lokal. Two of these movies are in support of the LGBT pride month.
Screening until June 22 is “Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita” by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo; and from June 23 to 29, “Slumber Party” by Emman dela Cruz.
“Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita” won for Angel Aquino the Best Supporting Actress from Gawad Urian and Gawad Tanglaw. The film also bagged plums from the Osaka Asian Film Festival, the Frameline Film Festival and the Mix Milano Film Festival.
Cine Lokal screenings are at SM Mall of Asia, Megamall, North EDSA, Fairview, Southmall, Bacoor, Cebu, and Iloilo.
