Box-office stars reunite for rom-com

Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz headline Star Cinema’s romantic comedy, “Finally Found Someone,” opening in cinemas nationwide tomorrow. They were last paired in 2013 via the hit movie “It Takes a Man and a Woman.”

“Finally Found Someone” is the third movie of Theodore Boborol after the break-out success of Star Cinema’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2016’s entry “Vince & Kath & James” and “Just the Way You Are.”

“Finally Found Someone,” which Sarah considers a welcome birthday gift, is about the unexpected romance between Raffy Sandoval and April Esguerra. He plays a PR hotshot who masterfully “crafts lies for a living” while she is an honest-to-goodness girl who has difficulty masking her true emotions. A PR emergency brings them together, and they discover they have much in common though they are polar opposites.

Though the rom-com movies they’ve done together are blockbusters, Sarah wishes they’ll also films “with lessons to impart na hindi lang pakilig.”

“I want our fans and moviegoers to learn from our movies,” she said.

Also in the cast of “Finally Found Someone” are Joey Marquez, Yayo Aguila, Techie Agbayani, Dennis Padilla, Leo Rialp, Alwyn Uytingco, Christian Babbles, with the special participation of Enchong Dee.
