Star Cinema’s first salvo for 2017, “Extra Service,” is not your usual comedy outing. According to director Chris Martinez, it is also quite action-packed.
He said, “Marami talaga silang fight scenes dito, hindi lang kita sa trailer but their fight scenes are very intensive and very demanding.”
Starring Arci Muñoz, Coleen Garcia and Jessy Mendiola as a trio of “mild-mannered massage therapists by day and sexy secret agents by night,” “Extra Service” is described as somewhat similar to “Charlie’s Angels” but with more zing.
Chris lauded his stars for their innate comedic timing.
“Alam ko na kaya nilang mag-comedy, hindi ako takot na hindi sila makaka-deliver,” he remarked. “Kaya nila. They have timing naman na. They also have the personality also so hindi naging mahirap for them.”
“Extra Service” also stars Enzo Pineda, Vin Abrenica and Ejay Falcon.
Slated for showing starting Jan. 11, the film is collaboration between Star Cinema and Skylight Films.
