Nobody knows how far one could go winning on a TV contest.
Businessman John Fernandez Raspado garnered huge notice winning “It’s Showtime’s” “I Am Pogay” in 2014. He would go on to reach new heights, bagging the right to represent the country at the Mr. Gay World Philippines 2017 tilt ongoing until May 10 in Madrid and Maspalomas, Spain.
The prestigious global competition aims to inspire and empower gay men giving hopefuls a venue to give importance to inner beauty and appearance as well as leadership and confidence.
Raspado is bent on going all the way believing he has what it takes to bring home the crown.
“When you’re representing the country, you have to represent it the best possible way,” shared Raspado, who believes winning as Mr. Pogay made him more confident with a purpose.
“I have given my heart to all those who have inspired me to continue the fight for the LGBT community. Without them who will I fight for? I already fought for myself and I have conquered all my fears. And without this purpose having a crown doesn’t mean anything,” he expressed.
Behind Raspado is the Mr. Gay World Philippines Organization (MGWPO) headed by National Director Wilbert Tolentino.

Coping with the flu season
TV host Lyn Ching-Pascual is a career-driven person and one can see her passion for work via GMA Network’s “Unang Hirit” which she hosts in tandem with Suzi Entrata.
Lyn is also a hands-on wife and mother.
“I am first and foremost a wife, and second a mom,” Lyn stressed during the launch of the TrangkaSeason campaign of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control of the Department of Health, which she endorses. Needless to say, the TV host takes good care of her and her family’s health.
“I love my work so I take care of my heath. I love waking up early in the morning and go to work, even if I don’t feel well.”
She added that she doesn’t want to disappoint the viewers who expect to see her in “Unang Hirit” and listen to what she has to say. “I have to serve that need; it is what I’m supposed to do, it’s my commitment to the public.”
She and Jap Pascual have two children. Lyn said she sees to it that they are healthy, that they get their annual flu vaccinations on time.
The TrangkaSeason Campaign aims to generate greater awareness about flu (or influenza) and provide the public with the needed information on how to prepare and protect themselves and their families from this deadly disease.
