Robinsons to shut down Forum mall on April 30: Frederick Go to build luxury mall, office towers on prime EDSA spot

Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) led by billonaire Frederick Go is bringing out his wrecking crew to flatten Forum shopping mall along EDSA by the second half of 2022.

The RLC president and CEO are pushing through with the fancy makeover of the Forum site this year despite lingering fears of the pandemic.

RLC has formally advised Forum tenants and customers that its last day of operators will be on 30 April 2022.

RLC had originally planned to redevelop Forum in 2020 but the breakout of the global pandemic in March of that year forced it to defer the project due to the economic collapse arising from the lockdowns and public health concerns.

The firm, however, is sticking to its original plan to build four GOLD Leed-certified office buildings anchored on an upscale lifestyle mall at par with its shopping complex in the Bridgetown Estate in Pasig.

The Forum was built in 2014 before the area became a hotbed of residential condominiums. It was originally Robinsons Place Mall.
