GMA Network’s “Onanay” starts airing Aug. 6. The heart-warming drama introduces Jo Berry as Onay, a loving, warm and kind woman.
“Onanay” is about a woman born with Achondroplasia or a bone growth disorder which impeded her growth. Because of this, she is often the subject of ridicule but she chooses to remain positive in life.
Onay is mother to two beautiful girls Maila and Natalie. Maila is the obedient and cheerful daughter, always ready to defend her mother, while Natalie is spoiled and arrogant.
Playing Onay’s mother is superstar Nora Aunor as Nelia, who only has good and admiring words for Jo Berry. Onay’s mother-in-law is Cherie Gil as Helena. Aldrian Alandy plays Onay’s husband.
