‘A Filipino at heart’

Ambassador Jesus “Chuching” Tambunting, OBE and his wife Marge recently hosted a farewell dinner in honor of outgoing British Ambassador Asif Ahmad.

Attended by the two envoys’ friends and colleagues in the diplomatic and business circles, the evening was a touching celebration of the wonderful work Ambassador Asif has done during his tour of duty in the Philippines.

“Over the years, Asif, you have grown to be a close personal friend to me,” Ambassador Chuching said in his toast. “I would like to enjoin all my friends gathered here tonight to formally send you off with nothing but our prayers and best wishes…to Her Majesty’s ambassador to the Philippines, Asif Ahmad, a friend and a Filipino at heart.”

Kudos to Ambassador Chuching for a delightful dinner and many thanks to Ambassador Asif for his many priceless contributions to our nation!

For the children

Over the years, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation’s Bantay Bata 163 has been leading the charge to fight and stand for Filipino children.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the organization recently held a fundraising event at the Reception Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

Attended by one of the charity’s longtime supporters, RichPrime Global Inc. president and CEO Myrna Yao, the fundraiser featured the creations of international avant-garde designer Rocky Gathercole.

Happy anniversary!
