Christmas for the entire family at Araneta 17 SHARES Share it! By: Crispina Martinez-Belen Updated December 19, 2016, 5:04 PM

Christmas at the Araneta Center will be loads of fun this year. Aside from the iconic Giant Christmas Tree, the much-awaited staging of the first-ever “Le Grand Cirque” kicks off on Dec. 25 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. This grand circus will let local audiences – especially kids – experience what many from the US, Canada and Europe already have.
“There’s aerial stuff, risky stuff; there’s a fire dancer, there are the Strongman guys – (people who do) crazy lifts and balances I couldn’t even dream of doing,” promised its producer Jay Lodge.
Already, the Center’s E-Shuttles are dressed up to promote “Le Grand Cirque” running from Dec. 25 til Jan. 3, 2017. The perfect show for the entire family, ticket buyers will be treated to special promos.
Aside from “Le Grand Cirque,” there are Santa Meet and Greet activities at Ali Mall, New Farmers Plaza and Gateway Mall every Saturday and Sunday this month. Choirs also perform holiday hymns at the malls daily. Shoppers also get the chance to win a brand new car through the Feel The Ride promo running till Jan. 15, 2017.
To cap off the Yuletide festivities, a grand fireworks display welcomes 2017, thanks to Novotel Manila-Araneta Center, which is throwing a party for patrons on Dec. 31 at The 6th Pool Bar and Lounge with music, wine and party favors. Visit their website for details.

Oh, Christmas tree
Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila officially kicked off the holiday season by switching on their Christmas tree.
Brightly decorated handcrafted decors and Filipino-themed items make up the decorations. Its base is a Pinoy jeepney and there are the little details every foreign visitor, balikbayan, OFW or OCW would like to see. Indeed, the lobby was transformed into a colorful and festive and joyous place of celebration.
The Voice Philippines 2nd Season runner-up Elisah Bonaobra concluded the evening’s musical entertainment with her rendition of “Let it Go.” Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila also awarded plaques of appreciation to their 2016 Top Producers.
