Hollywood producer, actor and author Stephen Baldwin plays a significant role in the inspirational, faith-based and family-friendly film “Kaibigan.” While here to shoot the movie, Baldwin was a recent visitor of President Duterte in Malacañang.
With more than 100 films and TV roles to his credit, Baldwin landed his breakthrough role in the Academy Award winning film “The Usual Suspects.” His TV roles include Doyle in “Bio-Dome,” Barney Rubble in “The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas” and William F. Cody in the hit series “The Young Riders.”
Baldwin stars in “Church People,” a comedy film which he also produced. He is involved in the indie feature drama “Staines,” based on the true story of missionary Graham Staines who was martyred in India in 1999.
“Kaibigan,” directed by actor-director-producer Cesar Montano, stars the Perkins twins Jesse and Christian whose family Production company The JC Perkins Twins is collaborating with the Cup of Faith Coffee for the production of the movie which is slated to be shown in October.
Jesse and Christian were born in the Philippines and raised in California. They are now permanent residents of the Philippines, having returned in 2015. For the past two years, they have been travelling around the country working for the Department of Education promoting the message “No Drugs, No Alcohol And No Bullying” to the youth.
The Perkins Twins have performed in over 500 schools, they also perform weekly in malls and government agencies to help inculcate family values.
Their own compositions and dance numbers which they themselves choreographed are featured in “Kaibigan.” The soundtrack of the movie is scheduled for release very soon in collaboration with Vehnee Saturno.
Also starring in “Kaibigan” are Boots Anson-Roa, Tirso Cruz III, Alvin Anson, Lani Mercado, Emmanuelle Vera, Archie Adamos, Mariam Al Alawi, Victor Basa, Mocha Uson, Judah Paolo and Cesar Montano. Daniel Tan is Cesar’s co-director.
