An exciting end to ‘Wildflower’

Maja Salvador
Viewers are saddened that the ABS-CBN series “Wildflower” is about to end after a year (it premiered February 2017). The series stars Maja Salvador, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Tirso Cruz III, Wendell Ramos, RK Bagatsing and Aiko Melendez, among others.

More than just a story of revenge, “Wildflower” is about a woman’s courage, determination, and resilience to find justice for her family and for the people of one town. Driven by hope and love, main protagonist Lily Cruz (Maja) fights for what is right without putting the law in her hands.

“Wildflower” has been a consistent top-rating program on primetime and a consistent trending topic on social media. It reached an all-time high national TV rating of 35.2% for its Oct. 10 episode – the highest rating earned by a program in the 6 p.m. timeslot in recent years. It also ranked 13th on Kantar Media’s list of most watched programs for 2017, and it was also among the most watched program on iWant TV last year.

The show received various recognitions from award giving bodies such as PMPC Star Awards for TV, LionhearTV Rawr Awards, GEMS Hiyas ng Sining Awards, and even the Asian Television Awards where Tirso was finalist in the best supporting actor category.

Much-talked Bianca, Kyline’s fight scenes

Kyline Alcantara
The fight scenes between Crisan (Bianca Umali) and Cheska (Kyline Alcantara) on the series “Kambal, Karibal” are so realistic they don’t fail to excite viewers every night.

Many wonder if the slapping exchanges and hair-pulling between them are real and if they are hurting each other every time they do it. In a recent interview, Kyline said they have to do it the real way even if they hurt each other. Otherwise, “hindi makatotohanan.”

Because of the rave reviews they’ve been receiving, Bianca and Kyline are even more inspired now in playing their roles the best way they can.

Also starring on “Kambal, Karibal” are Miguel Tanfelix, Christopher de Leon, Marvin Agustin, Carmina Villaroel, Alfred Vargas, and Jean Garcia, among others.
