Superstar Nora Aunor was the special VIP guest at the recent turnover of a firetruck donated by Mr. and Mrs. Lito Talampas for the use of the United East Homeowners Association, Inc. (UEHAI) in East Fairview Park, Quezon City. Ms. Aunor came to know the Lavides-Talampas family through German Moreno who was a friend of the owners of Superlines.
Former Congressman Manolet Lavides, sister of Mrs. Talampas, is head of the Superlines transportation company. Mr. and Mrs. Talampas are the parents of Aya Talampas, who is a singer and actress, having appeared in stage musical shows here and in the US where she has been residing with her family for many years.
Also a special guest at the firetruck turn-over rites were Congresswoman Nanette Daza and Barangay Fairview Chairman Articer Quebal. Blessing was done by Fr. Mar Sanchez. Spearheading the rites was UEHAI Pres. Dr. Wilson dela Cruz. Also present were Kagawads Ariel Alfonso, Winnie Dumandan, Joel Erestain and Nani Castelo and other special guests.
The event coincided with the association’s first anniversary of their chapel, multi-purpose hall, administrative office and Ugnayan Cafe and was marked by their Souvenir Yearbook 2017 with the theme “Our Roadmap Towards A Caring Community.” The yearbook features UEHAI beginnings and milestones. Speaking in behalf of the officers, Mrs. Talampas said “We sincerely hope that these facilities we have shared will greatly enhance UEHAI’s operations, it’s service to the community and will serve as a lasting legacy.”
