GMA shows and stars recognized in 31st Star Awards

GMA shows and Kapuso stars were recognized for their outstanding work by the Philippine Movie Press Club's 31st Star Awards for Television at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, ADMU, Cata Tibayan reported on Unang Balita on Monday.

Morning show Unang Hirit was named the Best Morning Show while  Wish Ko Lang received the Best Public Service Program award and I-Witness the Best Documentary Show distinction.

GMA News and Public Affairs veterans Howie Severino, Jay Taruc, Sandra Aguinaldo, and Kara David were lauded as the Best Documentary Program Hosts and Vicky Morales the Best Public Service Program Host.

• Best Primetime Drama Series - Alyas Robin Hood
• Best Drama Actors - Ruru Madrid & Dingdong Dantes
• Best New Female TV Personality - Mikee Quintos
• Best Single Performance By An Actor - Alden Richards
• Best Comedy Show - Pepito Manaloto
• Best Comedy Actress - Aiai Delas Alas
• Best Variety Show - Sunday Pinasaya
• Best Female TV Host - Marian Rivera
• Best Game Show - Wowowin
• Best Magazine Show - Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho
• Best Male Newscaster - Arnold Clavio
• Best Travel Show Host - Drew Arellano
• Best Lifestyle Show - The World of Gandang Ricky Reyes
• Best Lifestyle Show Host - Rhian Ramos, Solenn Heussaff
• Power Tandem - Sanya Lopez and Rocco Nacino
• Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award - Vic Sotto
