I don’t know why I’m still writing this since it won’t in any way help in the ticket sales because there’s nothing to sell anymore. Ms. Ana Puno, the producer of the Martin Nievera-Lani Misalucha Valentine show “Masquerade,” said the duo’s Feb. 14 show at the Solaire Resort & Casino ballroom has sold-out shortly after it was announced. But anyway, a Martin-Lani show will always be good news, especially since “Masquerade” will also be on a road tour in the US and Canada middle of this year.
Last year, Martin and Lani teamed up in their first major concert in San Diego, California and, you guessed right, the two-night shows sold-out. The success of their first team-up prompted Anna to stage it in the country via the love-themed “Masquerade,” first staged last Feb. 12 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City. It will be staged anew at the Solaire ballroom on Feb. 15.
Expect Martin and Lani to sing their classic hits, among them “Kahit Isang Saglit,” “Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap,” “Be My Lady,” and “Say That You Love Me,” “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” and “Tunay Na Mahal.” By the way, Martin and Lani were named Concert Performers of the Year at the 8th PMPC Star Awards for Music.
The musical director of “Masquerade” is Louie Ocampo, stage director is Rowell Santiago. The show is for the benefit of the Rotary Club of Makati East, Rotary International Association of Chiefs of Police of the Philippines Inc., Affiliated NGOs and Anti-Illegal Drugs Group PNP.
