Showbiz idols from the ’80s Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, Tina Paner, and Keempee de Leon come together in the forthcoming GMA Network romantic drama “Meant To Be” topbilled by Barbie Forteza, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj, Jak Roberto and Ken Chan.
Manilyn, Sheryl, and Tina were bunched back in their teens as The Triplets. Sometime early 2000, they went their separate ways after Sheryl decided to lie low in her showbiz career, going on to live in the US. Tina, on her part, stayed in Spain. Manilyn continued with her showbiz career.
Though they’ve been apart, they are still good friends.
“Hindi pa rin naputol ’yung friendship namin. And your friends will always remain friends lalo na kapag nasa loob ng puso niyo ang bawat isa,” said Sheryl.
The actresses are thankful for the reunion. “I was just hoping and praying na sana one day ’yung Triplets mabuo. Thank you to GMA for this opportunity,” Tina said.
On the series, Manilyn is Amelia, the twin sister of Suzy (Tina). Sheryl plays Beatriz (Ivan’s mom) and Keempee De Leon portrays Wilton, Amelia’s husband.
“Meant To Be” will air soon on GMA Telebabad.
