Since gaining attention as “StarStruck” hopeful, and later as auditionee for “The Voice PH,” Edward Benosa has consistently ascended showbiz’ ladder of popularity.
His debut single “Di Man Lang Nagpaalam” gave him his first bonafide hit while “Iingatan Ko,” “Sa Piling Mo,” and “Paglisan” strengthened his fast-growing fan base. Now Edward has an official Facebook account named Ed Benosa Loyal Supporters.
Edward recently released the music video of his third single “Puso Kong Ito,” which earned a nomination from the 2016 PMPC Star Awards for Best Music Video alongside entries from the likes of Juris, Sam Concepcion, Vice Ganda and Rivermaya.
The music video, directed by Carlo Obispo and made possible by Dannon Clothing, features a charming ballet dancer (from Ballet Manila). It projects Ed’s boy-next-door charm to the fore. The pop ballad was written by Vincent Velasquez.
Said Edward, “It’s one of my favorites. There’s something unique about it.”
At the moment, Edward is rehearsing for a musical play titled “Mula Sa Buwan,” which will be staged at the Ateneo University grounds this coming December.
Edward, who is also set to release his second album February next year, is mentored by actor Arnold Reyes.
Arnold said, “I took him in kasi grabe ang vocal range niya. May push siya kumanta, very emotional.”
Last April, on his 25th birthday, Edward presented a concert for his fans at the Teatrino in Greehills. The show was proof he certainly deserved the 2015 Best New Male Recording Artist citation from Star Awards for Music.

Exciting cast for ‘STWOM’
“Someone To Watch Over Me” is quite thrilling to watch not only due to its gripping story but also because of its wonderful cast.
Aside from lead stars Lovi Poe, Tom Rodriguez and Max Collins, the primetime GMA show also features Baby Joshua, who plays the son of TJ (Tom) and Joanna (Lovi).
Viewers look forward to seeing Joshua everyday because his cute, innocent face allows for good vibes. Even the other cast members of “STWOM” are super “gigil” with Baby Joshua.
Meanwhile, on “Encantadia,” Amihan (Kylie Padilla) has put to death Sunshine Dizon’s character, Adhara. Unfortunately, Adhara is the only one who knows where her daughter is.
Pirena (Glaiza de Castro), on the other hand, continues with her evil plans even with her father (John Arcilla) already aware of her betrayal.
“STWOM” and “Encantadia” airs weekdays on GMA Telebabad.
