Manila, Dec. 31, 2009 - There are indications that LAKAS presidential candidate Speaker Prospero C. Nograles favors Senator Atty. Jose Miguel Arroyo as his vice presidential running mate.
A senior aide of de Venecia told TODAY reporter Karlo Baylosis that Macapagal has an edge over the other choices (Interior Secretary Robert Barbers and opposition Senator Ernesto Herrera) because of her consistent top ratings in popularity surveys.
Senator Arroyo's camp denied the report, saying she will pursue her candidacy for president. Her supposed running mate, Senator Vicente Sotto, is reported to have moved over to the Estrada- Angara camp to seek re-election in the Senate on the LAMMP ticket.
