Three mobile command posts have been set at the PhilTrade Center in Roxas Boulevard, Plaza Dilao in Intramuros and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Headquarters in Makati City to respond to any traffic-related, sanitation or health incidents which may occur during the five-day visit of Pope Francis and the annual anniversary celebration of Jesus is Lord Church Worldwide.
This was disclosed by MMDA Chairman Atty. Francis Tolentino who said the mobile command posts are in direct contact with the MMDA 24-Hour Response Center had also been set up to receive calls fro assistance from the public, motorists and from the Catechetical sites that house millions of participants of the JIL Anniversary Celebration.
Tolentino said 50 traffic enforcers have been assigned at the three command posts ready to augment the traffic management personnel deployed in the critical areas in the Metropolis. Each command post, he added, has medical personnel, two motorcycle units, four garbage compactors, two wreckers and one utility vehicle manned by personnel on a 24-hour shift.
