'Kinakabahan ako': Charlie Dizon does not want parents to see 'Fan Girl'

Charlie Dizon, who is the lead actress in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Fan Girl,” admitted she does not want her parents to watch her movie.

In an article by Push, Dizon said she is nervous for her parents to see her in intimate scenes with her leading man, Paulo Avelino.

The 24-year-old actress said she and Avelino were not able to talk about how they will tackle those scenes before cameras started to roll.

Nonetheless, she trusted in Avelino and in the creative vision of their director, Antoinette Jadaone.

“Hindi namin napag-usapan ni Paulo 'yung mga eksena na 'yun so in my case, nabigla na lang ako. Pero nagtiwala naman ako kasi alam ko na planado din nila 'yun and alam nila 'yung gagawin,” she explained.

“Kumbaga na-warning-an naman nila ako dati na parang surprise din, para maging raw and mas natural 'yung magiging reactions ko. Nagtiwala na lang ako kay direk Tonette and kay Pau na mapapaganda namin 'yung eksena,” she added.

Dizon said she was fortunate to have Avelino as her co-star because he treated her well while they were doing the project.

Now that it’s out for streaming, Dizon is only hoping more people would watch “Fan Girl” through legal platforms.

“Noong una nakaka-feel bad na 'yun 'yung nakikita ng tao,” she said, referring to screenshots of Avelino’s frontal nudity that made the rounds online.

Kasi minsan 'yung photos na ganun na-a-out of context sa mismong story,” she said.

In the end, Dizon thanked everyone who has already seen the movie.

Pero thank you nga sa sumuporta lalo na nung nakita nila 'yun,” she said.
