For nine days, GMA-7 and QTV-11 airs the 24th Southeast Asian Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from December 6 to 15, 2007. It was broadcasting live via the GMA Network Rainbow Satellite, with updates on Radyo Bisig-Bayan and Campus Radio stations nationwide.
GMA broadcasts on 105 analog and digital free-to-air television stations all over the Philippines, broadcasting live via the GMA Network Rainbow Satellite.

It feels like 1995 for GMA, when the network was branded as GMA Rainbow Satellite Network and the slogan Where You Belong. GMA was the official network of Pope John Paul II's visit to the 10th World Youth Day in Manila, Philippines from January 12 to 16, 1995.

Some of the milestones for the Rainbow Network in 2007:
April 15: GMA-7 launched its second corporate all-star station ID in the Kapuso era, bearing the tagline 'Kapuso ng bawat Pilipino'. The jingle was a rehash of the original 2002 jingle, and was sung by Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Karylle, Jolina Magdangal, Kyla and Jay-R along with the first two winners/runners-up of Pinoy Pop Superstar (Jona Viray, Brenan Espartinez, Aicelle and Gerald Santos) and Sugarpop.
April 29: marked the premiere of the showbiz-oriented talk show Showbiz Central on GMA-7's Linggo Bingo line-up. Originally hosted by John Lapus, Pia Guanio and Raymond Gutierrez. Highlights of the premiere episode which was uploaded early this month include Angel Locsin revealing that she has bought a new car, Wilma Doesnt's birth of her second child, an interview with then-real life couple Jennylyn Mercado and Patrick Garcia, Dennis Trillo confirming if he has a profile on a website which has uploaded his rumored video, and Rustom Padilla opening up about his failed braces before becoming BB Gandanghari. The Central Jury consisted of talent manager Shirley Kuan, DJ Mo Twister and host-actor Arnell Ignacio.

September 24: The premiere of Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan on GMA Telebabad. Starring Dennis Trillo, Aljur Abrenica and the late Marky Cielo, it concluded on February 8, 2008.
November 19, 2007 marked the premiere of Kamandag on GMA's Telebabad block. It was the climax of Richard Gutierrez' prime as one of their primetime kings, few months after Lupin ended. It concluded on April 25, 2008.
