New talent-reality show premieres today

“I Can Do That” is hosted by Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga, and features eight Kapamilya idols as I CANdidates whose will and imagination will be tested on the show.

The I CANdidates are actress and jujitsu enthusiast Cristine Reyes; actress and in demand cover girl Arci Muñoz; singer-actress Sue Ramirez; host-comedienne Pokwang; TV and movie actor JC Santos; dancer-performer Gab Valenciano; comedian Wacky Kiray; and model-actor and footballer Daniel Matsunaga.

In pairs, the I CANdidates will perform extraordinary acts every week. The fun begins when different groups of professional performers demonstrate a variety of acts that I CANdidates have never done before. They are given only one week to practice. Their rehearsals, the candidates said, have greatly challenged them physically and emotionally.

“I Can Do That” was developed by Israel’s Armoza Formats, with local versions in 20 countries, including the United States which named Nicole Scherzinger its first Greatest Entertainer.

‘MTB’ stars in two mall shows

The young cast of primetime series “Meant To Be,” led by Barbie Forteza, will be featured in two mall shows starting this weekend.

Barbie, together with Ken Chan, Jak Roberto, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj and Mika dela Cruz will entertain their fans tomorrow, March 12, at 4 p.m. at SM City San Jose del Monte in Bulacan. On March 19, the group will be joined by Sef Cadayona (but Manila is Mika) at Robinson’s Place in General Trias in Cavite.

In a recent episode of “Meant To Be,” Barbie wore a bikini for the first time in her acting career. And so far, the feedback has been favorable. Two popular radio hosts even said Barbie looked good in her bikini which was bought by her own mom, adding that her sexiness wasn’t taken in a bad light. “Hindi malaswa,” they also said.

In the series, airing weeknights before “Destined To Be Yours” on GMA Telebabad, Barbie shows her versatility as an artist, and not only her comic side. She is Billie with Manilyn Reynes and Kempee de Leon as her parents. Also in the cast are Sheryl Cruz and Tina Paner among others.
