Another LizQuen blockbuster 0 SHARES Share it! By: Crispina Martinez-Belen Published February 23, 2017, 12:05 AM

The latest movie team-up of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, “My Ex And Whys,” made more than P100-million in three days, making LizQuen the newest love team to reckon with. The blockbuster movie reportedly earned P31-million on opening day alone.
The Star Cinema-produced film is a follow-up to the LizQuen blockbuster 2015 hit movie “Everyday I Love You.” The romantic movie is also Enrique and Liza’s first project after their top-rating primetime TV series “Dolce Amore” aired on ABS-CBN last year. This is also their first Valentine movie together.
“My Ex And Whys” is helmed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, acclaimed box-office director now an icon in the rom-com genre. This is her first project with the well-loved LizQuen tandem.
In the movie, Enrique and Liza play an ex-couple who are reunited by an unexpected project that could bring them back together.  Why the title? Because the lead characters are exes, and the movie will try to explain the whys of break-ups in romantic relationships. LizQuen said the movie is based on real-life experiences and not a fairy tale.

2017 Miss Tourism PH launched
Amelia “Amytony” Sunio-Abarquez, president of Miss Tourism Philippines (MTP) Foundation, led the recent launch of Miss Tourism 2017 at the Icon Hotel in Quezon City. Now on its 6th Year, MTP is under new management.
Among others, current officials of MTP 2017 include Dr. John Weinstein, who is a doctor and lawyer by profession. As shareholder and director of foreign affairs, Dr. Weinstein came over from the US to attend the pageant launch. He is also a business partner of the Abarquezes. Having had previous experience in the pageant industry, Dr. Weinstein accepted the offer to be part of MTP.
Charles Leongson, another MTP officer, said they will be promoting tourism at the barangay level so they’re expecting local government units to field their respective candidates to the pageant. They will also choose a Miss Metro Manila Ambassadress, he added.
Abarquez stressed that as head of MTP, she will pursue the foundation’s advocacy of “promoting tourism through beauty, arts and culture.” As usual, part of the proceeds of the pageant will go to charity, benefiting the needy and underprivileged through the Amy-Tony Foundation.
They expect 45 candidates to contest the two MTP major titles on July 30 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
