JaDine spreads kilig in the US

Currently on a concert tour of the United States is popular love team JaDine, composed of James Reid and Nadine Lustre.

James and Nadine will be at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, California tomorrow. Two days hence, they will be at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California; then on March 31 at the Chabot College of Performing Arts in Hayward, California; and on April 1, at the Ayva Center Concerts and Banquets in Houston, Texas.

They will end the tour on May 5 at the World Trade Center in Dubai. Also featured in the show are host and comedian Chad Kinis and the G Force Dancers.

This is JaDine’s second international concert tour. Last year saw the pair performing in the Middle East, Europe, the US and Canada.

The “Always JaDine 2017” tour is made possible by SMDC and Philippine Airlines.

View of the world

Award-winning filmmaker Pepe Diokno and acclaimed writer Jessica Zafra bring you a new view of the world through the travel show “Trippies.” Setting it apart from other travel shows, “Trippies” features only international destinations.

Pepe, who directs the show, reveals that he travels for inspiration. He believes traveling is about more than seeing the sights. It is about meeting people and living like the locals do. “In the process of discovering more about the world, we actually discover more about ourselves,” he remarked.

For Jessica, traveling triggers her ideas to create fiction. Jessica says she likes going to museums to understand the country’s history and culture. In fact in “Trippies,” she often gets up close and personal with the locals in a bid to know the culture of a country.

“Trippies” airs Sundays, 7:30 p.m. on CNN Philippines. It has replays on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m., Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 11 a.m. on CNN Philippines.

Shoppers Bazaar at Aliwan Fiesta

Aliwan Fiesta, produced by Manila Broadcasting Company in tandem with the Cultural Center of the Philippines, showcases regional trade in its three-day Shoppers Bazaar at the CCP Complex from April 20 to 22.

Now on its 14th staging, Aliwan Fiesta’s Shoppers Bazaar is not your traditional “tiangge” or flea market. Shop-a-holics who would normally plan an extensive shopping spree throughout the islands have had to exercise even more restraint in this one-stop-shop.
