New and improved by Crispina Martinez - Belen October 14, 2016 (updated)

A re-energized Sharon Cuneta is what we’re going to see tonight at The Theater of Solaire Resort and Casino. Not only is she slimmer (remember she lost 66 lbs. in the past several months just avoiding carbs), the singer-actres is more impassioned with her craft, music in particular. After all, it has been four years since she held a big concert.
After her two-night “Sharon At The Theater,” which she promised would be a great show what with daughter Frankie Pangilinan appearing as special performer – Sharon promised to do more TV shows (on her home studio ABS-CBN of course).
She also hopes to release her long-awaited album before the year ends (she’s been preparing the songs) and do movies, mainstream and indies. Actually, she’s now involved in an indie project titled “Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha,” Mes de Guzman’s entry to the 2017 Cinemalaya Film Festival, which she is co-producing.
As to mainstream projects, Sharon said she is slated to do a Star Cinema film to be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina.
Asked how she lost weight, Sharon said she simply lessened her carbohydrate intake, concentrating on fruits, salads and cheese.
She is known to have a good appetite, but now, she attested, “patikim-tikim na lang.” She recalled having tried various diet programs but every time she lost a few pounds, “bumabalik naman,” she lamented.
Sharon’s second concert at Solaire will be on Oct. 22.

An evening of glamour and grace
Remington Hotel at Resorts World Manila recently saw both young and young-at-hearts display their dancing prowess in “Dancing With Grace.” The event was organized by Rosebud Ong who’s been at it in the last four years.
The medieval-themed ballroom dancing show was produced by Lady Grace Intimate Apparel and Belinda Adora.
World/class dancer Belinda Adora and her dance group wowed the crowd with an hour of dancing. The finale was a sexy dance number by Brazilian actress-model Daiana Menezes – the face and product endorser of Lady Grace.
