last full show sa sinehan bago ang Pambansang Awit.

("The Prayer" instrumental plays)

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

"Ating bigkasin ang Panatang Makabayan bilang sagisag ng ating pagkakaisa sa pagbabago tungo sa kaunlaran ng ating bansa.
Ang panatang makabayan, Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas
Ito ang aking lupang sinilangan
Ito ang tahanan ng aking lahi
Ako'y kanyang kinukupkop at tinutulungan
Upang maging malakas, maligaya at kapakipakinabang

Actress Lovi Poe will soon be seen on “Someone To Watch Over Me,” a primetime drama series that starts airing Sept. 5 on GMA.
Lovi is super excited, of course, since it is her first project after signing a new contract with the Kapuso Network; and her first time to work with Tom Rodriguez as well as her reunion with multi-awarded director Maryo de los Reyes.
Also on the series is Max Collins who plays the former girlfriend of Tom’s character, TJ Gomez. Max could be perceived here as kontrabida but Lovi said, “The kontrabida here is actually TJ’s ailment, which is early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. ’Pag meron ka nito, you remember mostly the things in your past. In my case, as his wife, slowly makakalimutan niya ako.”
Lovi only has praises for Tom as an actor. “Ang galing niya,” she said.
On the series, Lovi is Joanna, a working class girl from Vigan, who meets and falls in love with TJ and they get married and have a child. Everything goes smoothly until TJ shows symptoms of early onset Alzheimer’s. He tries to hide it from Joanna but she eventually notices it when he starts forgetting things.
“Someone To Watch Over Me” also has comebacking Edu Manzano in the cast.

‘Superstar Duets’ premieres today
Though it’s not her forte, Jennylyn Mercado appreciates the fact that she was tasked as host of “Superstar Duets” which begins airing today.
The actress believes she will improve her hosting skills in time. The production had her go through hosting workshop.
A first in the Philippines, “Superstar Duets” features one-of-a-kind duet performances from eight Filipino celebrities and impersonators of select international superstars. The Kapuso celebrities competing to become the first Superstar Duets Champion are Mike “Pekto” Nacua, Joross Gamboa, Jerald Napoles, Rita Daniela, Denise Barbacena, Nar Cabico, Divine Grace and Osang.
“Ang saya nilang kasama kasi lahat sila may kanya-kanyang character. So every time na nagka katrabaho kami ang saya saya sa set namin. Walang dull moment,” said Jennylyn.
Directed by Bert de Leon, the panel of judges are comedian-TV host Allan K, “Traffic Diva” Aicelle Santos and “Asia’s Romantic Balladeer” Christian Bautista.
